What are DMI Intensives?

DMI stands for Dynamic Movement Intervention. It is a 1, 2, or 3 week week-long intensive (5 days) that is 90-minutes in duration or two 45-minute sessions per day. Treatment incorporates DMI & SI approaches for optimal progress towards increased quality of life and independence. Each intensive includes a home exercise program for you to continue to help your child progress beyond the intensive. Contact me for more detailed information about a DMI Intensive.

DMI is perfect for children diagnosed with ANY gross motor delay including conditions involving, global developmental delays, hypotonia, chromosomal abnormalities/genetic disorders, spinal cord lesions, acquired brain injury, or orthopedic conditions.

  • The child must be under 30lbs for the intensive. Due to safety, if your child is 30+ it may limit exercises provided.

  • All treatments are provided in the comfort of your own home. Optional location offered in Red Bank, NJ

  • An adult must be present for all sessions provided both during Intensives and OT treatment. The intensive includes a home exercise program for your child. You may also be asked to be a spotter for your child during exercises.
